| to the gauge ? It doesnt actually send oil or anything right? Its not part of the oil pump? If that's the case, that the sender is just the sensor that tells the gauge how much oiil is being sent, then Im not worried about it because I am pretty sure im getting low oil pressure. My turbos blew a seal as well so they're leaking oil. The mechanic put in 2 extra quarts of oil. He changed it to a thicker non synthetic. And added oil Honey, says its super thick. But he says to replace the oil pump, we have to take out the whole engine - $800 job. So, before doing that Im hoping theres another area to check. He is 99.99% sure its not the oil pan, which he says he has to take out the engine for to check that too. The part i dont get is why would she run well when shes cold at start up, then lose pressure as the oil warms up? Anything to do with not having an oil cooler ?
